Super

Monard’s flagship range, this model was used to win the Gold Medal in Men’s Prone at the 2000 Olympic Games.

The jacket is anatomically cut, with pre-curved sleeves for a perfect fit in all shooting positions,
with soft cowhide nappa inserts at the neck area, inner elbows and under the arm.  A high-
performance synthetic suede panel provides grip for the supporting arm in the standing position.

The shoulder strap is adjustable sideways for better customisation and comfort.  The back has
seven panels for an enhanced anatomical fit and to support the back in the standing position.

The trousers have a Velcro opening with four hook attachments, the opening sloping upwards from the inside leg.  The trousers also have an opening at the groin, in line with the left-hand upper leg (for right hand shooters) into which a soft comfort lining is inserted.  A full-length zip, with two slides, is inserted in the back of each leg.

The use of a newly designed cotton canvas – superlining – in both jacket and trousers optimises comfort, flexibility and support while providing guaranteed stability for several years.  This model is made of two layers of superlining.

Special rubber padding adapts optimally to the curve of knees and elbows, eliminating slipping and discomfort.  Top-Grip pads are available at additional cost.  The butt plate shoulder pad is made of soft suede for maximum contact and feeling, although on the prone jacket it can be rubber if preferred.

The “Super” model is perfect for shooting prone, three positions and air rifle, and is only available made to measure – with a range of ten superlining and eleven leather colours.

Prone Super

There is now a version of the Super jacket designed specifically for prone shooting.  The main differences are:

  • The cut of the sleeves is different from the normal Super

  • The left hand side of the jacket is made from one piece of superlining (i.e. no suede panel for locating the elbow in the standing position)
